Alquimie magazine is a modern independent publication and shares the culture and stories behind the drinks we love. Published quarterly, Alquimie magazine is a written emulsion of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Covering wine, beer, spirits, bitters, coffees and other solutions of interest; we explore the liquids themselves — their origins and stories. Distinguished by its content-rich approach and striking design, Alquimie is a new voice in the world of drinks. Forgoing trends and phases in lieu of deeper perspective, we provide a highly engaged conversation with our readers. Presenting a wide array of opinion and objectivity, the publication simplifies the complexities of beverage culture without pretension. With a combination of wine, photographic and design experience respectively, the publication was founded by four friends; Josh, James, Nic and Raul. The personal experience of the owners is complimentary — as to create a result that is mightier than the sum of its parts. The magazine was created out of respect for the tried and tested drinks that instil comfort into our daily routines. Self-owned and published, the project retains complete creative liberty over the choice of its content. The finished product is designed to be accessible for a wide variety of consumers without pretension or elitism.Sourced and commissioned writing, photography and illustration helps to define the narrative of each edition of Alquimie. Our contributors live all around the world; their common characteristic being their passion and generosity. As Alquimie grows, so too will the ethos at its core — one of humility and sharing. Alquimie is winner of Australia’s Best Wine Publication in 2015.
