The Plant Journal Issue 8 is out now. ‘Defiant Gardens’ shows how refugees in Jordan turn to gardening as a primal instinct. The raw nature of Iceland is the subject of a shoot by Cat Stevens, ‘Komorebi’ is seen through the lens of Ola Rindal and a project by Takashi Homma and Rikako Nagashima is called ‘Camphor Tree’. The plant in focus is the Fiddle-leaf fig, there are tricks for an escape plan (just in case things get too hard outdoors) and also…‘Goethe und Urpflanze’, a booklet illustrated by Martin Fengel.

The Plant Magazine (formerly The Plant journal) is a journal about ordinary plants and other greenery. Besides providing botanical contents in a simple, personal and cozy way; The Plant offers plant lovers a new look at greenery by featuring the works of many creative people who share our love for plants. As a curious observer of ordinary plants and other greenery, the magazine presents a monograph on a specific plant; bringing together photographers, illustrators, designers, musicians, writers and visual artists, both established and emerging, from all over the world. These people share with The Plant Magazine their unique perceptions and experiences of plants.
