Die neue Transhelvetica 76 (Kafi) ist erhältlich bei loremnotipsum.com. Ein ganzes Heft voller röstfrischer Ausflugstipps und robusta Geschichten. Ich habe mir vorgenommen, in nächster Zeit wieder vermehrt auf ein einfaches Café complet zu setzen. Denn dieses heute eher unkonventionelle Znacht ist in seiner Bescheidenheit genau das richtige für diese Tage. Immerhin ist Understatement eine Tugend, die in Zeiten des wiederaufblühenden Exzesses sorgfältig gepflegt werden sollte.

Allerdings bin ich bis anhin ein schlechter Botschafter des Verzichtes, denn ich möchte täglich Neues entdecken. So war ich etwa vor wenigen Tagen auf einer inspirierenden Kulturreise im Wallis (Eskapade Wallis). Und es besteht der Plan mich nächstens in den Kunstmuseen von Basel zu verlieren (Beilage Karte Basel). Schliesslich freue ich mich darauf die lebendige Kulinarik des Bündnerlandes auszukosten (Beilage Eskapade graubündenVIVA).

Dabei empfinde ich die grösste Freude nicht angesichts von Prunk und Instagram-Likes, sondern bei Herzblut und Stil – wie bei einem ehrlichen Café complet, das auf den ersten Blick wenig glamourös wirkt. Denn wenn mit vornehmer Nonchalance luftig-duftendes Brot, feinster Anke, gut abgehangenes Trockenfleisch und würziger Käse gereicht werden, schlägt das ein grossspurig inszeniertes Rindsfilet in Stil und Lässigkeit um Längen.

Selbst ein Lupinencafé au lait kann den Sieg nach Punkten nicht verhindern. Darum haben wir den Weg des Café complet mit Augenmerk auf Qualität und Eleganz vom Acker über die Weltmeere bis auf den gedeckten Tisch im Café Ihrer Wahl begleitet und dabei modernen Luxus erlebt.

Transhelvetica Magazin, das ist das junge Schweizer Magazin für Reisekultur. Transhelvetica sucht die Schweiz hinter dem Heidi-Idyll. Wir finden überraschende Reiseziele, neue Geschichten zu altbekannten Destinationen und verkünden grosszügig Geheimtipps. Unsere Entdeckungsgänge werden zu Portraits über Stadt, Land, Berg und Leute. Für unsere Reportagen arbeiten wir mit jungen Talenten wie bekannten Journalisten und Fotografen zusammen. Das Magazin erscheint 6 Mal pro Jahr mit einem abwechslungsreichen Themenmix aus Natur, Kultur und Genuss. Es richtet es sich an neugierige, humorvolle und engagierte Entdeckernaturen mit einem Interesse an der Schweiz. Die Publikation thematisiert die Verbindung von Qualität, Design, Nachhaltigkeit und Genuss in der Freizeit. Die Redaktion hat sich passenderweise im Alten Bahnhof Letten in Zürich eingerichtet. Im Juni 2016 und nach eindrücklichen 35 Ausgaben wurde das Transhelvetica-Magazin einem Redesign unterzogen. Die Inhalte wie auch das visuelle Design der Publikation wurden komplett überarbeitet und das Magazin erhielt ein neues Logo.

Ein feiner Kaffeeduft hat uns gleich in drei verschiedene Röstereien gelockt, wo wir den Röster:innen über die Schultern und in die Röstmaschinen blicken durften.

Wer hat’s erfunden?
Die Schweiz ist ein Kaffeeland – auch ohne Kaffeeplantagen. Dafür aber mit ganz viel Erfindergeist, mit dem an immer neuen und besseren Kaffeemaschinen getüftelt wird.

Gebrannte Worte
Rita De Nigris kennt sich mit Ton aus. Die Keramikkünstlerin und Dozentin verwandelt ihre Teller, Platten und Tassen in Kunstwerke mit Botschaft.
