The Movement Movement is a new independent print magazine. It is an entirely inclusive space for all women and non-binary people to celebrate movement in all its forms, from professional sport to whatever ways we move in our everyday lives. This magazine is built to change narrative around sport and give women the platform to tell their own stories on movement – whatever it means to us – for the first time in the indie mag space. It is here to shake up the sports publishing space for women. Currently, it’s out-of-date, it’s male-orientated, male-organised, perfection-obsessed, and in short, it’s less than we need. Joining us is exactly that; A Movement. This is about ending the male-created and disastrously uneven playing field around sports media into not only something that is diversely made, but something so far away from constant pro-perfection that we are all actively welcomed into it.
