Openhouse Magazine Issue 4 is available now on loremnotipsum.com. In this issue we visit Marjorie, who has opened her home every sunday for the last 20 years to give jazz concerts in her beloved Harlem. Also every sunday, artist Jim Haynes has been making dinners for the last 37 years in Paris. We pick vegetables at Muld, a field to table farm just outside of Copenhagen, and visit the secret garden of the Pandolfini family in the heart of Florence. With many more interviews and stories in between, we finish with the modernist house, architect Harry Seidler built for his mother as his first project in Sydney, that is open as part of the Sydney Living Museums.
Openhouse Magazine is a bi-annually publication, that looks to bright, creative people from around the world, that open their doors of their private spaces to the public, to make different activities about gastronomy, art and design. Printed in Lleida, Openhouse is a magazine of 144 pages, filled with beautiful photography, interesting interviews of people who open special places around the world that the reader can visit and join in with the activities. Openhouse Magazine is also a guide to their secret loved places in their towns, and some favourite recipes. Openhouse is a multi lingual publication; all articles are published in English and the language of the interviewee. Openhouse was started by Andrew Trotter and Mari Luz Vidal, and we are building a small team of collaborators who are designers, writers and photographers from all around the world. We love to hear from new people who have interesting stories to tell about OpenSpaces from near and far.
