Hop & Barley Magazine

Hop & Barley magazine is an independent publication from United Kingdom which explores the people and stories behind the contemporary brewing movement. Since launching in 2014, we’ve gone on to produce eight volumes, distributing thousands of magazines to beer lovers across the globe. With an emphasis on slow journalism and evergreen content, the magazine deliberately distances itself from news and reviews to uncover stories of passionate people and fervent creativity. We are a design-conscious publication and take great care in the production of each volume. It’s this attention to detail which keeps our readers returning again and again to explore the stories within.

Hop & Barley Magazine Volume 10 is out now. This volume marks a breakthrough into double-digits. To celebrate this milestone, we’ve been working on giving the magazine a complete refresh; a new design, a new format, and a new approach to the content which uses the subject of beer as a jumping-off point for a wider range of stories, which reflect the diverse interests of our readers.

Hop & Barley Magazine Volume 9 is out now. This volume is inspired by the homebrewers; the amateur alchemists who regularly commit themselves to a weekend of wort. From buckets in basements, to Grainfathers in garages, these people are united by a common cause: to brew great beer.
