Glory Magazine Issue 2 is available now on loremnotipsum.com. After years in the international wilderness, Kosovo finally gained UEFA and FIFA recognition in 2016. As a member association, Kosovo could now play competitive international fixtures – and fight for a place in the 2018 World Cup. It’s impossible to overplay the importance of this decision for Kosovars everywhere. This was a chance to write their own football history from the very first page. To be a Kosovar football fan is to be at the heart of one of the most exciting moments in world sport. We looked at Kosovo’s celebrated diaspora, and imagined the spectacular Kosovar national team that might have been. And we caught up with two Kosovar clubs sides – KF Liria and KF Gjilani – to learn about their troubled histories and plans for a better future. This limited edition journal features award-winning writing, photography and design.
Glory magazine is a new football publication with an ethos to put the ‘beautiful’ back in the beautiful game. We travel the world documenting alternative football cultures including the most remote, exotic and unusual destinations. Glory are a team of designers, writers and photographers with a shared passion for football. We wanted to explore football beyond the Premier League, the Champions League and the World Cup, beyond Sky Sports and BT – beyond even the Football League and the major European club competitions. Football is the world’s most popular sport, and there are countless nations where die-hard fans pack remote, windswept stadia or watch their national teams scrap for the honour of a place in the FIFA top 100. We look beyond the money, the glamour and the trophies to find the real Glory of football.
