The magazine takes a new, leisurely paced and reflective, attitude to design. It includes creative contributions from talented photographers, critics and designers and is full of less-expected stories and original content. Modern Design Review Issue 2 includes a lengthy ‘soft’ section that addresses textiles and comfort in contemporary design throughout a number of linked stories, plus a counter essay on ‘hardness’. A conversation with the great Andrea Branzi is followed by a homage to his work. A whimsical and substantial reflection on the role of the button in electrical design is a typical Modern Design Review feature.
