The Travel Almanac Issue 17 (The City Sindrome Issue) is available now on loremnotipsum.com. The City Syndrome is looking at the notion of geographical syndromes. The focus lies on regions that are associated with their very own, like Stockholm, Lima, Hollywood, Bali and maybe most prominently Florence. TTA17 features contributions by Hollywood icon Matt Dillon, photographed by Craig McDean, celebrated artist Anne Imhof, by Sean&Seng, mercury prize nominee slowthai by Thomas Lohr, visionary entrepreneur Ronald Akili of Potato Head by Ben McMahon, Laura Lee, a third of musical phenomenon Khruangbin, photographed by Collier Schorr and much more…
The Travel Almanac was founded back in 2010. It is a Berlin and New York based print publication focusing on traveling & temporary habitation, addressing an increasingly mobilized creative community, it is the first true post-tourism publication. It focuses not only on the traditional notion of physical travel, but the ways in which movement and location permeate all aspects of contemporary life. Since its inception, The Travel Almanac has been influential in re-defining the genre of pop-culture publications by showcasing the creative world’s opinions on travel and its accoutrement. The Travel Almanac is published bi-annually and combines the immediacy and visibility of a magazine with the longevity and elegance of a book. Starting with issue 10, some of our releases include an edition of The Travel Diary, an art booklet that showcases new work of one select artist, rethinking the concept of traveling and displaying a unique sensitivity to their surroundings.
