In the launch issue there are over 90 pages of fashion editorial, shooting with Marcus Schaefer, Umit Savaci, Raphael Bliss, Charlie Gates, and more. Jasmina Vico (beautician of choice for Jodie Comer and Issamaya French) showcases her futuristic beauty treatments in a fashion shoot with photographer Umit Savaci and make-up artist Jimmy Owen Jones.
Version magazine commissioned the first digital up-cycled fashion brand, where they provided Danish designer Anne Sofie Madsen with a virtual box of long-forgotten clothing renders from around the web, from Nike Air Max to golf bags. Madsen sketched designs, which were brought to life by Berlin-based design studio Selam X (who previously created Dazed Beauty’s algorithmic launch cover featuring Kylie Jenner).

Version magazine is about fashion and technology. We’re not so much for “fash-tech”, a dress made out of phones, micro-wires woven into smart textiles or deep dives into immersive tech experiences. We are more for starting anew with an empty head and fresh eyes, planet-centered values, regeneration, slowness, deep thinking, and ways to fold progressive technology into the fashion system. Version is a new biannual publication coming out of Foxall Studio, where founders Andrew and Iain Foxall were the art directors on the launch year of Vogue Turkey and GQ in Brazil. They also created Ponystep Magazine’s launch issue with Richard Mortimer, featuring a double cover of Kylie Minogue and Jerry Hall.
